RENEWAL IN ACTION

River Rock serves the community and supports several organizations both local and abroad. We do this because we believe that God is at work in renewing this world.  Jesus summons us to feed the hungry, bring water to the thirsty, welcome the stranger, clothe the naked, care for the sick, look after the orphans, widows, and the incarcerated.


  • River Rock supports Powerhouse Ministries in Folsom as they share God's hope and empower youth and families to change their lives and rise above their circumstances. 


  • Twin Lakes serves the local community by providing food and other assistance to those who are going though difficult circumstances and need help to make ends meet. Most needed food items include: canned fruit, vegetables & meats, pasta & sauce, mac & cheese, rice, boxed potatoes, chili, pork & beans, soup, stew, Ravioli, & cereal. **Pop-top cans are a plus!** Other items: sleeping bags, tarps, can openers, flashlights, pet food, adult diapers, Ensure drinks, feminine products, baby diaper (sizes 3, 4, 5) & wipes, baby food & infant formula. River Rock Church will be accepting donations EVERY SUNDAY!  Please drop them in the basket in the refreshments area.


  • HART of Folsom assists those who are homeless by helping them to live a life of greater self-sufficiency and independence. This is a great opportunity for River Rock to practice our life signs of passion, connecting and renewal as we meet the needs of people experiencing homelessness or struggling to improve their lives in Folsom. https://hartoffolsom.org/donate-to-hart-of-folsom/




     

  • World Renew Is the relief and development arm of the Christian Reformed Church that reaches out in God’s name to people in North America and around the world, who are struggling with poverty, hunger, disaster, and injustice to help them find lasting ways to improve their lives. 


    When you give a monthly gift to the Free a Family program, World Renew partners with local churches and nonprofits to free families from the grip of poverty. That means your generosity not only touches a life, it helps transform an entire community.  $27 a month is all it takes to equip a community with the resources needed so one more family can join World Renew’s programming. You bring hope to these families through
    • Providing sustainable farming education and tool
    • Improving access to community health support
    • Establishing a Village Loan and Savings program to set aside earnings
    • Growing gender equity, reconciliation, nonviolence, or trauma healing (depending on community context and needs) through peace and justice curriculum
